MG America (www.mgamerica.com), the U.S. subsidiary of MG2 of Bologna, Italy, has gained membership in the prestigious Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute (PMMI, www.pmmi.org), an international trade association representing more than 600 packaging and processing supply chain companies.

The announcement came in conjunction with PMMI’s Executive Leadership Conference, which was held April 14-16 in Ponte Vedra, Florida. PMMI’s members are comprised of machinery, materials, components and container manufacturers whose combined specialties span all niches of the packaging industry.  PMMI actively brings buyers and sellers together through its various programs, which include The PACK EXPO family of trade shows, PACK EXPO Connected Communities, packexpo.com, PACK EXPO Show Daily, networking events, educational programs and more.

For MG America, the new association membership comes on the heels of other good news: In addition to its own manufacturing capabilities, MG America is now the exclusive distributor in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico for Perfect Pack, an Italy-based equipment manufacturer of automatic form-fill-seal sachet and stick pack machines.
