Irish paint manufacturer Colourtrend is taking on a new look for a striking relaunch with plastic buckets from RPC Superfos (rpc-superfos.com).

The new designs for the company’s decorative paint range, inspired by the Irish landscape, are accompanied by an advertising campaign on TV and radio. Using the tagline "Infinite colour from Ireland," it features an evocative voiceover by Fiona Shaw, one of Ireland's most famous actresses.

But while the artwork is new, the 10 litre injection-moulded S-range polypropylene containers from RPC Superfos have remained a constant.

Wendy Shaw, marketing executive at Colourtrend, explains: "We have changed the graphic design but kept the bucket, because it is user-friendly and has a lot of positive qualities. The in-mold labeling technique ensures a brilliant look for our products, including our new logo.

"RPC Superfos did a great job in coordinating the production of our buckets with our plans for the relaunch, and smoothly facilitated delivery with the timeline of our filling process,” says Shaw.

The paint range from Colourtrend provides superior coverage and washability, and is sold in both metal cans and plastic buckets, to accommodate the different packaging requirements of the market. RPC Superfos is a long-term supplier of the plastic packs to Colourtrend.

"The RPC Superfos team has worked impeccably for Colourtrend over so many years, and the new 10 liter containers really look great,” says Shaw.

Colourtrend, established 60 years ago in Kildare, is Ireland's largest paint company. Its collections are available across a network of more than 140 paint retailers in Ireland and the UK, and the company only sells its paint through independent stockists.
