The International Metal Decorators Association (IMDA) has expanded its scope to include can manufacturing and metal packaging into the association's mission of bringing the latest technology and information to the membership. The association has been renamed the International Metal Decorating and Packaging Association (IMDPA).

The IMDPA is dedicated to improving and fostering advancements in both metal decorating and metal packaging. The organization strives to provide the metal decorating and packaging industry with valuable information and opportunities to network with fellow industry personnel.

This change of scope and the renaming of the Association is the result of much deliberation and planning. The metal decorating and metal packaging industry has and continues to undergo significant change; the premier association representing these industries needs to evolve along with its members' needs.

The IMDPA has served the metal decorating industry for more than 85 years and represents companies and people from around the world promoting the interests of lithographers, metal decorators, designers, metal packaging and trade suppliers involved in metal decorating and metal packaging worldwide. With more than 600 individual members, the organization represents over 200 corporations.
