General Mills is making it easier for shoppers to choose products with whole grain listed as their first ingredient. More than 50 cereals identified with a “white check” label have more whole grain than any other ingredient, including favorites like Honey Nut Cheerios, Total and Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

Dietary guidelines recommend at least half of the grain included in our diet come from whole grain. Labels will highlight the grams of whole grain per serving on the side of each cereal box. Every General Mills Big G cereal contains at least nine grams of whole grain per serving, and more than 20 deliver 16 grams or more. More information at www.wholegrainnation.com.
