Brands are starting to mix social media in with their packaging. Pepsi RAW put its Twitter address on 1.4 million sample cans in the UK this summer, becoming, according to the brand, the country’s first major packaged goods company to do so. The major sampling drive was designed to not only give consumers the chance to try Pepsi RAW, but to comment on it as well. The initiative reportedly resulted in valuable consumer feedback that could help shape future marketing plans.
