Free2b Foods Relaunches with New Branding and Packaging
In response to consumer demand for natural and organic foods and the 15 million Americans living with food allergies, Bolder, Colo.-based Free2b Foods, formerly known as Sun Cups, has announced its new company name and branding that better aligns with the company’s dedication to providing delicious treats that are free from top allergens and artificial ingredients. In addition, the new name supports the company’s initiative to expand its line of chocolates.
Free2b Foods believes that food is about celebration, not deprivation. The company currently makes a line of chocolate cups with mint, caramel and sunflower butter fillings.
In April 2016, the brand will launch a line free of the top eight allergen free chocolate bars (peanut, tree nut, wheat and gluten, soy, egg, fish and shellfish), which will also be its first dairy-free products. The chololate bars will be available in three flavors: Dark Chocolate with Sunflower Seeds and Sea Salt; Dark Chocolate with Sunflower Seeds, Sea Salt and Dried Cherries; and Dairy Free “milk” Chocolate Crunch with Rice Crisps.
Made in small batches by a team of moms, Free2b Foods is passionate about how their treats taste as well as the quality and safety. And, their team’s passion to serve the allergen community comes from personal experience — from the moms on the line, to the part-timers to the founding partners, they manage their own food allergies.
They source simple, high-quality ingredients that taste delicious on their own and are irresistible when mixed into chocolate products. Free2b Foods carries certifications from the Rainforest Alliance, the Celiac Sprue Association and the non-GMO Project.
“When we first launched in 2009, we were solely focused on our delicious Sun Cups. As we’ve grown and introduced more products, we wanted a name that better reflected our mission and our entire product line,” says John Becker, Free2b Foods' CEO. “We want to meet the needs of today’s families — who may have restricted diets due to food allergies, intolerances, or other health and wellness drivers. We want to offer a variety of solutions beyond our delicious Sun Cups. The name Free2b allows us to do just that.”
“Free2B Foods is positioning to become one of the leading companies in the fast-growing and vibrant “Free From” space. The products are not only delicious and safe for consumers dealing with food allergies, but they are also an incredible treat for those looking for a non-GMO, junk-free, and most importantly, amazing chocolate,” says Robyn O’Brien, Free2b advisor.
