After the recent purchase of French company Oriex Communication, organizer of ADF & PCD (Aerosol & Dispensing Forum and Packaging of Perfume, Cosmetics & Design) events in Paris and New York, Easyfairs Oriex has announced the appointment of Christelle Anya to lead the further development of the market-leading events.

Under the expert guidance and leadership of previous owner Jean-Pierre Appert, Anya has been instrumental in the growth of the shows over the last 17 years. Her energy and enthusiasm, and ability to work closely with key stakeholders to understand the marketplace, has been important to deliver highly renowned shows serving the community. The latest Paris event, held on February 3 & 4, 2016, attracted 6,500 attendees from over 70 different countries and 350 packaging suppliers.

In her new role as Event Director, Christelle assumes overall responsibility for the events including the awards and the highly respected conference program. She becomes the face of the event and will take ownership of all special partnerships and relationships with conference chairs, speakers, judges, VIPs and brands.

Following the success of the Paris event, the focus is now on the inaugural event in New York taking place on September 13 & 14, 2016, at The Altman Building & Metropolitan Pavilion. This launch has been well received by the packaging community, from the many leading suppliers already committed to exhibiting, as well as major brands and the industry as a whole supporting the event.

Anya will continue to be supported by the existing show team in Paris and New York, as well as working closely with Matt Benyon, Managing Director of Easyfairs UK & Global, as Director General of Oriex. Matt has over 20 years' experience organizing award-winning and market-leading international trade events, and has been in his current position for seven years at Easyfairs.

Benyon states: "I am excited to work with Christelle, who I have every confidence will continue to grow, improve and innovate the events so that they remain at the forefront of their industries. She is passionate and dedicated to ADF & PCD and has an excellent understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the market that her events serve.

"The approach the teams in Paris and New York take sits well with our approach at Easyfairs: we both strive to produce excellent events that serve the needs of the market, and provide a vision of the future of the industry, by immersing ourselves within those communities. I believe we have exciting times ahead!"

The acquisition of these market-leading events complements Easyfairs' existing buoyant portfolio of packaging events, which include Packaging Innovations, Luxury Packaging, Label&Print and Empack, plus recent acquisitions Macropak (Utrecht) and Pack&Move Basel. The existing portfolio consists of 35 events across 18 cities in 13 countries, attracting over 100,000 visitors and 4,000 exhibitors annually.
