Innovia Films is launching the first of its new range of transparent high barrier packaging films, Propafilm Strata SL which is designed to be a standalone mono filmic solution or to be used in laminate constructions to be recycle ready.
Environmentally conscious consumers are looking for packaging that uses fewer resources and less energy than other forms of packaging. Flexible packaging minimizes transport costs between the converter, packager/filler, retailer and end user.
The new Torayfan CB3 portfolio is manufactured with Toray’s proprietary formulation and a patented PVdC-free coating. The films offer oxygen-barrier protection along with excellent moisture barrier and are available in sealable and non-sealable versions. In addition, the 70- and 80-gauge CB3 films are a thinner alternative to thicker OPP films and enable source reduction, yield and economic benefits.
This presents historical demand data (2006, 2011, 2016) and forecasts (2021) by barrier film type, market, and resin. The study also evaluates company market share and competitive analysis on industry competitors.
Highlights at PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2017 include a range of pre-formed tubes and bags that provide greater product protection and improved material stability. The audience can put the films’ mechanical properties to the test and find out how to benefit from Mondi’s blown-film extrusion technology.
