UNCONTAINED: Cut it out!

With so many consumers clipping free-standing coupons to save some money today, why aren’t we seeing more instant savings on-pack? Are on-pack coupons too expensive? Do they slow down the packaging line too much? Just think of the powerful buying incentive for consumers in the store to Save Now! It may be the difference between them picking up your product over another.

If the material costs are holding you back, forget about it. One digital solution is printing a two-dimensional bar code on the pack that consumers can “scan” with their cell phones while they’re in the store. See how Sam’s Wines and Spirits is doing this in its Chicago store to give customers instant discounts.

With this new technology, you can give consumers in-store savings that they don’t have to cut coupons to get. How convenient for them!
