Labels are often the first thing a consumer sees on a product, acting as a billboard and a valuable purchasing tool. But more than just graphics are considered by packaging designers, sustainable materials and high impact functionality also play a role.

Green packaging solutions, including labels, are expected to grow into a $212 billion worldwide market by 2015 with 5.7% annual increases, according to Market’s 2011 report, entitled World Green Packaging.
