Design North’s innovative client Smithfield Foods celebrates a year that have seen their businesses thrive, profits and market share soar under One Smithfield, a transformative campaign that champions the company’s impressive brand portfolio.
“Highlights to prove the point,” CEO Ken Sullivan quoted in the April 2016 issue of Meat + Poultry magazine, “include an all‐time high in operating profit for the company’s Packaged Meats business. Our volume growth, 7.1 percent, was exceptional,” he said. “We saw broadbased market share expansion across numerous brands and product categories. It was so strong, Smithfield was the second‐fastest growing top 25 food company — not just protein company — but food company, according to IRI data.”
The stellar results included Smithfield’s Fresh Pork business – retail sales grew by double‐digits, with record high distribution and leading dollar and volume share in the marinated Fresh Pork category.
