According to FPA’s analysis, the U.S. flexible packaging industry reached $42.6 billion in annual sales in 2024, up from $41.4 billion in 2023—a 2.9% growth rate.

This year’s first-place winner was a team of students from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), and the second-place winner was a team of students from the California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly).

The Flexible Packaging Association has announced the winners of the 2025 FPA Achievement Awards, recognizing innovative flexible packaging solutions in categories such as materials, graphics, structure, and sustainability.

The members were appointed by FPA’s current Board Chair, Russell Grissett, President and CEO of TOPPAN Packaging Americas.

Session will include details on extended producer responsibility (EPR) and recycled content mandates, as well as regulatory updates related to toxic substances in packaging.

FPA remains committed to preserving and advancing manufacturing and tax policies that allow for rapid investment in domestic manufacturing.

The association is activating its succession plan to guide the process of selecting a new Executive Director. It has formed a committee to oversee the search process that will commence in September.

In his new role as President & CEO, Felton will be responsible for leading FPA’s dedicated team of professionals while growing the value of the organization and the flexible packaging industry to its members, partners, policymakers, and other stakeholders.
