Jim Renda accepts the appointment.

Multisorb Technologies (www.multisorb.com) is pleased to announce that company president, Jim Renda, has been elected to the American Meat Institute’s (AMI) Board of Directors.  The election was held at AMI’s fall 2012 Board of Directors Meeting in Toronto, Ontario on October 5. Renda will serve a three-year term, which commenced upon his election.

The board provides leadership and direction for the Institute’s priorities and many ongoing issues that the meat and poultry industry faces. Additionally as an AMI Director, Renda may be asked to vote on any special Institute initiatives that may occur.

AMI is the country’s oldest and largest meat and poultry trade association. Representing meat and poultry processors and their suppliers, AMI advocates industry views, provides regulatory updates and analysis, conducts scientific research, and offers other educational information.

Renda has been with Multisorb for over 18 years, leading Multisorb’s expansion into the fresh meat industry. Multisorb provides technology that helps preserve the quality and extend the shelf life of fresh meats.
