Pepsi has launched a new campaign with Blippar (blippar.com), an augmented reality platform for brands. Blippar had made Pepsi cans interactive with a special NFL cans. Pepsi drinkers simply download the app, open it and hold it over a can of Pepsi to launch a virtual locker room environment where users can take pictures with an NFL player. Special instructions for interacting with Blippar will be printed on 19.5 million cans in the Northeast region and will be appearing in stores this week.
Pepsi's collaboration with Blippar marks the company's commitment to new technologies and to keeping up with popular ways consumers interact with brands.
