Brand kick starts the new year with new packaging

Brand features new logo, fresh labeling and additional varieties to inspire a new you

January 22, 2014

Healthy Ones® Deli is embracing the New Year and the opportunity it brings to refresh and rejuvenate. The brand, part of the John Morrell Food Group, a subsidiary of Smithfield Foods, is debuting a new look that will include an updated logo, easy-to-read packaging graphics and fresh, new varieties of deli meat. With this brand refresh, consumers can still count on the same great taste and better-for-you ingredients that have made Healthy Ones Deli a staple in households across America.

The timing is perfect for a fresh new look and flavors, considering many consumers also use the New Year to refresh their lifestyles and set healthy goals. One of the changes is a refreshed approach to Healthy Ones Deli packaging that includes a clean design, contemporary logo, and a focus on highlighting fresh ingredients. Healthy Ones has also moved key nutritional information to the front of all its bulk deli products to easily provide consumers with the proper information they need to construct a healthy diet for themselves and their families.

Consumers looking to try or add new, fresh flavors to their meals will have three new varieties of Healthy Ones Deli to choose from in January. Mediterranean Style Turkey Breast, Tuscan Roasted Turkey Breast and Cracked Black Pepper Turkey Breast will all be available at deli counters in grocery stores across the country.

"We're very excited about the updates we've made to the Healthy Ones Deli brand," says Elizabeth Di John, brand manager for Healthy Ones. "One of the most impactful updates we have made is to our packaging graphics by making our products easier for consumers to shop at the deli counter. We have updated the logo, brought forth bright, fresh colors and have clearly listed all important product attributes such as gluten free, lower sodium and no fillers, all to reflect the fresh and better-for-you nature of our deli meats. Of course, everyone can count on Healthy Ones' same great taste that our consumers have enjoyed for years. That will always be true."

One thing that Healthy Ones Deli won't change in 2014 is its great taste and nutrition. Healthy Ones' deli meats will continue to be made with lean tender cuts of chicken, turkey and roast beef. Its hams will stay cooked in their natural juices and all of the products remain low in sodium and certified by the American Heart Association.
