The new design uses mouth-watering images of food on the front of pack, strengthens the brand and creates a logotype icon reminiscent of restaurant signage to communicate the premium quality of the product.
The Glass Packaging Institute (GPI) announced the winners of its 2017 Clear Choice Awards, recognizing the country’s top brands and manufacturers that create first-rate designs to shape powerful brand experiences. The eight winners, ranging in categories from “Beer & Cider” to “Non-Alcoholic Beverage” were recognized during a ceremony today at the national Packaging That Sells Conference in Chicago.

Commissioned by the Can Manufacturers Institute (CMI), Beverage Can Makers Europe (BCME) and Abralatas in Brazil, a study by Resource Recycling Systems (RRS) used global recycling data to calculate and validate the global recyclability rates for aluminum, PET and glass beverage containers. The study established a global weighted average recycling rate for aluminum at 69 percent, compared to PET at 43 percent and glass at 46 percent.

BRANDPackaging just announced the winners of its 2017 Design Gallery People's Choice awards at the annual Packaging That Sells Conference held in Chicago October 23-25. The awards recognize some of the industry's best packaging designs based on how effectively the packaging uses graphics and structure to tell a brand's story. This year's competition drew 60 submissions across five award categories: Paperboard, Flexible, Rigid Plastic, Glass and Metal. In addition, an overall Editor's Choice was named from all categories.
